Prep and Plan

We have been trying to get a tentative travel plan together…after all we will be outta here in less than 2 weeks.

We don’t want to be tied to a schedule except for the reservations we have for three days at Fishing Bridge Campground in Yellowstone beginning June 18th and three days at St. Mary Campground in Glacier National Park starting June 25. The rest is up for grabs as well as the route back to Michigan.

Stops include:

  • Black Hills
  • Mount Rushmore
  • Yellowstone
  •  Grand Tetons
  • Glacier
  • Baniff
  • Jasper

Before we leave, Seymour needs to go down to Waters-Freeway RV because the refrigerator is not working when the electricity is plugged in….

Seeing more with Seymour

Meet our new travel trailer Seymour. Our plan is to travel, taking time to take a photography shot or two along the way.

Our inaugural trip was May 17-22 to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We stayed at the Platte River Campground. Being our maiden voyage we were thrilled with the paved sites. The site was huge, flat and had a short path to a perfectly maintained picnic table and fire pit area. The weather couldn’t have been better. Joining us in their motorhome were Elly, Andy and the grands. We explored the Lakeshore, climbed the dunes, waded in Platte River and Lake Michigan and witnessed two new inductees in the Junior Ranger Program. What a great first trip.
